Voice onset time
Bei Verschlußlauten die Zeitspanne zwischen dem Lösen des Verschlusses und dem Einsatz des Stimmtones. Stimmhafte Verschlußlaute ( /b/, /d/, /g/ ) haben eine VOT zwischen 0 und ca. 25 ms. Stimmlose Verschlußlaute ( /p/, /t/, /k/ )haben eine VOT von ca. 35 – 80 ms. V.a. bei Broca Aphasie überlappen sich diese Bereiche häufig.
